What shall I do that I may inherit eternal life?
Luke 10:25-28 LITV
(25) And behold, a certain lawyer stood up, testing Him and saying, Teacher, What shall I do that I may inherit eternal life? (26) And He said to him, What has been written in the Law? How do you read it? (27) And answering, he said, "You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your strength," and with all your mind, and "your neighbor as yourself." Deut. 6:5; Lev. 19:18 (28) And He said to him, You have answered rightly; do this, and you shall live.
Luke 18:18-24 LITV
And a certain ruler asked Him saying, Good Teacher, what may I do to inherit eternal life? (19) But Jesus said to him, Why do you say Me to be good? No one is good, except One: God. (20) You know the commandments: "Do not commit adultery," "do not murder," "do not steal," "do not bear false witness," "honor your father and your mother." Ex. 20:12-16 (21) And he said, I have kept all these from my youth. (22) And hearing these things, Jesus said to him, Yet one thing is lacking to you: sell all, as much as you have, and give to the poor; and you will have treasure in Heaven. And come, follow Me. (23) But having heard these things, he became very sad, for he was exceedingly rich. (24) And having seen him becoming very sad, Jesus said, How hardly those having riches shall enter into the kingdom of God!
HOW DO BELIEVERS OF TODAY VERIFY WHICH OF THE TRENDY BEHAVIORS THAT DOES NOT DISPLEASE GOD? ISAIAH 56:4
MOSES IS STILL THE REFERENCE (LUKE 16:19-31, MATTHEW 5:17-18)
The Bible is about how we behave towards YHWH God and our fellow human beings.
While behavior in our society varies from culture to culture, Jesus, through Moses (Luke 16:29), expects the same behavior from every faithful behavior in any society (Isaiah 56). The behaviors that offend Jesus millenia ago (Leviticus 18 et al.) as spoken of in Moses, still offend Jesus today, and will still offend Him tomorrow, according to Matthew 5:17-18.
In my lifetime, I observe from the attitudes of my children towards modern trends, that a behavior can be so common and crusaded for that it can be hard to hint to them that God does not approve of the behavior.
Since God wants us to be one flock (John 10:16), the website intends to educate the true believers about the uncomfortable rules of the Bible and remind, warn all those who want to live a godly life that God has not changed or adjusted the etiquette He gave Moses in the Torah of the Jews (Luke 16:19-31.
YHWH God, Jesus the Messiah (Christ), holds every single man who lives on earth yesterday, today and tomorrow, to the same immutable or unfulfillable standard of living found in the millennia old Torah of Moses, as Jesus reiterated it in Matthew 5:17-18.
No matter how weird, uncomfortable, or out of touch the Torah (or the Bible) may appear to be with today's modern life or with your beliefs or with your philosophy, remember that nothing in Moses had changed or will change (Matthew 5:17-18).
Jesus also said that it is easier for heavens and earth to vanish than any immutable, unfulfillable thing in the Old Testament (Luke 16:17) to change.
